A message to citizens from Christina Gray, Bristol’s Director of Public Health

We’ve seen a rise in new cases of COVID-19 in Bristol. This is largely linked to the country unlocking, but also due to travel and people socialising in large groups.

Students in three Bristol schools have also tested positive to COVID-19 this week.

Watch this message from Christina Gray, Bristol’s Director of Public Health, to find out more about the current situation in Bristol and what you can do to help.

To help prevent a local lockdown, please:
• Avoid large gatherings and maintain social distancing. From Monday (14 September), you must not meet with people from other households in groups of more than six
• Wash your hands regularly
• Wear face coverings in mandatory settings
• Get tested if you develop symptoms of the virus.

Thank you to everyone for playing their part to stop the spread.
