Brighton & Hove school children send climate pledges to COP26

Children from 8 primary schools in Brighton & Hove took part in workshops at the Rampion Visitor Centre on Brighton seafront in October to explore how their schools can help tackle climate change.

The children created their own personal pledges and calls to action for world leaders which were sent to COP26 in Glasgow, where they are featured as leaves in the ‘Forest of Promises’.

The events were organised by Brighton & Hove Environmental Education (BHEE) programme, who joined forces with Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, Sussex Wildlife Trust and Sussex Green Living to deliver the workshops.

The BHEE programme is funded by BHCC to support all schools in the city to become more sustainable.
