At any time we may we may find ourselves needing to support people who are planning for end of life or who have recently been bereaved, this may happen more often during an event like the Covid-19 pandemic. Dying Matters believes in an open culture that talks about death, and where communities feel able to listen and support those who are planning for end of life, who are dying and who have been bereaved.
This webinar was delivered by the Public Health Team and Leeds Bereavement Forum on Wednesday 10th February 2021 and it covers the support and information available from the Dying Matters Leeds partnership which has recently expanded its remit to include work to empower communities to support people dealing with grief and bereavement due to COVID-19.
This session aims to give viewers:
• an understanding and knowledge of the national and local Dying Matters work
• an opportunity to articulate opinions on the importance of discussing dying, death and bereavement, particularly in the light of the impact of Covid-19
• an opportunity to consider and reflect on their role in promoting Dying Matters messages
This webinar is one of the Leeds Public Health Training team’s Want To Know More About… sessions, which cover a range of health and wellbeing topics.
