The Chelmsford Jewish Community, with support from Chelmsford City Council, are hosting an annual Memorial Day event to commemorate the Holocaust during World War Two and other genocides throughout history.
This year has seen the passing away of many more of the dwindling group of survivors and witnesses to the Holocaust. We have an obligation to ensure that we keep alive the memory both of those who survived and of those who did not. This commemoration provides an opportunity to learn and reflect
Thursday 8 April is known as Yom Hashoah. It is Israel’s day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
