Today is International Workers’ Memorial Day.
Every year on April 28, people all around the world come together to mark International Workers’ Memorial Day. We remember those who have lost their lives at work, or from work-related injury and diseases.
This last year the Covid-19 pandemic has, for employers of all kinds, brought back into perspective the critical importance of protecting our workers.
Every one of the hundreds of thousands of deaths caused by this terrible virus is a tragedy, but it has been particularly distressing to hear of cases where an individual has become infected in the course of their work.
Please join in with observing a minute’s silence at 12 noon today to remember the sacrifice of those workers who have lost their lives during the pandemic.
