Introducing Brighton & Hove’s Upstanders Network

The Upstanders Network provides a forum for diverse groups to share experiences of hate crime in their communities, feedback to services, work together on collaborative projects and events, and share the joint message that there is no place for hate in our city.

The network raises awareness of how anyone can be an upstander. Being an upstander can involve reporting incidents, helping with evidence, supporting a harmed person or safely de-escalating situations.

Here, network members talk about the importance of the work to take a stand against hate.
