Safety of Women and Girls – Virtual Q and A

As part of a new multi-agency commission, aimed at tackling violence against women and girls, local people were invited to share their views about how safety could be improved at a virtual Q and A on 13 December.

The event was hosted by Cllr Rebecca Smith – the Chair of the new Violence Against Women and Girls Commission. She was joined by:
Chief Superintendent Matt Longman (Chair of Safer Plymouth – the city’s community safety partnership)
Alison Hernandez (Police and Crime Commissioner)
Matt Garrett (Service Director for Community Connections at Plymouth City Council)
Hannah Shead and Lyn Gooding (Joint Chairs of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Local Partnership Board of Safer Plymouth).
